Bionersis is a global player in the renewable energy sector and a leader in landfill biogas valorization. Its activities are located in developing countries where the company facilitate the transfer of green technologies in accordance with the Kyoto Protocols objectives. Its unique, fully integrated model allows Bionersis to produce carbon credits in a phase 1 and to add energy production in a phase 2.

A FULLY INTEGRATED SOLUTION

Since its creation in 2005 Bionersis has developed as a vertically integrated player involved in all phases of project development.

Bionersis' expertise includes the conception, the financing, the installation and the operation of landfill biogas valorization units as well as the registration and compliance of projects with UN requirements. The knowledge of each step in the process has allowed Bionersis to acquire a unique expertise in the implementation of the Kyoto Protocol.

TWO OPERATING PHASES

> Phase 1 Bionnersis captures and destroys biogas from landfills (made up of 50% methane, a greenhouse gas 21 times more harmful than C02. By destroying the gas the company is entitled to receive carbon credits (CERs): for each tonne of C02 equivalent destroyed, 1 CER is received. Bionersis sells its CERs to specialized markets or directly to compliance buyers.
